PEAK FLOW MONITOR

Shown to the left is a Peak Flow Monitor we developed for a medical device manufacturing firm.

A Peak Flow monitor is a hand-held device prescribed by physicians to allow asthmatic patients to monitor and record daily lung capacity, which in turn dictates medication dosage. We designed, prototyped, calibrated, assisted in obtaining FDA approval for this product. Additionally, we transformed the monitor into production as a low cost, high volume product. The construction consists of injection molded plastic housings, a rate change mechanism and peak indicator flag.

BAKE-COOL MODULE
Featured on our Case Studies page.

We designed and developed a pre-production module for the semiconductor industry. The module employs a bake plate, cool plate, three DC servo robotic wafer handlers, vacuum chucks, and vacuum end effectors. The physical size is 18" x 16" x 9". The unit was delivered to the client as a plug-and-play component and is integrated into the overall machine.

LASER SCRIBING MACHINE

We designed a machine to laser scribe identification characters on consumer products. The machine partly consisted of a large welded frame, a four-station rotary transfer station, translation drives and controllers, lifting mechanisms, product fixtures, and light-tight enclosures. We designed, fabricated, assembled and provided full product documentation.

FOURIER TRANSFORM SPECTROMETER

We were part of a team that designed this Michelson interferometer. The instrument contains a HeNe laser, prism, beamsplitter, fixed and moving mirror. All of the elements must maintain optical alignment over extreme temperature and vibration.
